David Romero Fundraiser

David Romero, Musician and Percussionist to some of the biggest names in the music industry for more than 30 years, is suffering from congestive heart failure.

There will be a fundraiser for the Romero Family in association with the Hispanic Museum of Nevada (501 c) at the V Theater in the Miracle Mile shops at The Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino.

• The “E” Family featuring Pete Escovedo and Grammy Award Nominee & Grammy Award Winning Sheila E
•  Grammy Award Winner and Latin Jazz super star Poncho Sanchez
• The cast of Hitzville the show featuring Jin-Jin
• Jerry Lopez with Santa Fe and the Fat City Horns
• The David Romero Salsa All Stars featuring members of The Michito Sanchez Salsa Orchestra
• Latin All Star Orchestra
• Latin Breeze
• Rick Arroyo
• Joe Torres
• D.J. Jose Munoz will be proving music throughout the event as well.

 

We are in need of your generosity in providing hotel accommodations and silent auction items as well as monetary donations.

For the past 30 years David Romero has performed, recorded, toured and appeared with such musical giants as Earth, Wind & Fire, George Duke, Poncho Sanchez, Wayne Newton, Santana, & Gladys Knight.

David has suffered with this heart condition for most of his life. He was first diagnosed with congestive heart failure at the age of 3. As time has passed, his condition has worsened and he is now in need of a heart transplant. His wife Marilyn of 21 years is disabled for life. Marilyn was involved in a major auto accident in 1997 that damaged her spinal cord. She now suffers from a spinal cord disease that there is no cure for. She is permanently disabled, constantly in pain and will never work again. They are in debt for more than $55,000 in medical bills and are in dire need of our help and donations.
